Let’s meet where you are - work on getting off the couch, making walking/running more enjoyable, or train for a race!
In an era where food is delivered with the push of the button and we don’t need to leave bed to work, “wanting to move” may be easier said than done. However, our bodies are made move and not moving them could actually make us sick with increased risks for heart disease, mental health issues, and Type 2 Diabetes.
Groove, is defined by musicologists, music therapists, psychologists, and neuroscientists, as “the pleasurable sensation of wanting to move the body to music.”
Through my approach, you get a time tested, science backed training plan along with suggestions on how to use music to help motivate you. This could be through a pre-run warm-up, to cue speed intervals on the treadmill or for recovery. It is recommended to leave the headphones at home for group runs or races, but music can be beneficial for learning good cadence and helping with motivation in training.
What you’ll get:
One-on-one sessions to check in, trouble shoot, and level up
Conditioning exercises for good form, strength, and flexibility (gym membership not required)
Training plan, strategies for habit formation and personal goal setting
The physical and mental health benefits that come from consistent walking and running
Custom playlists that include your favorite music and other selections based on tempo and groove elements
